HARO SIGNS JD SWANGUEN

JD Swanguen is a name you’ve probably heard of. The 16-year old junior expert downhill racer is well-known in Southern California as the « fast kid ». Haro Bikes, who has raced unsupported the past few years, has become JD’s official frame sponsor for 2006. He will be competing at local, regional and select NMBS 4X and downhill events, as well as in invitational MTB/dirt jump contests. He is expected to be nominated to the Junior World Championships in New Zealand as a top-ranked junior expert racer.

JD’s highlights of 2005 include 3rd place finishes both in downhill and 4X at U.S. National Championship and podium finishes at Sea Otter and NMBS Brian Head. He finished 7th at the Hangar event at Woodward West’s pro invitational Banger in Deer Valley against 30 of the most skilled MTB park riders.

Swanguen says that I would like to begin by saying how thrilled I am to be riding for Haro. This partnership will open doors for me to great opportunities in the coming years. Already, I am overwhelmed by the amount of help Haro has provided me in the first month since signing the contract. I want to thank Haro for being there for me. I hope to be able to get some podium finishes this year.

JD will join Haro team mates Cody Warren, Cameron Zink and Eric Porter in completing the 2006 MTB roster. All four Haro riders will be competing together at the Rays MTB Indoor Park 3Ride Pro Invitational event February 3-5.
